Each column is designed to mimic real basalt, handcrafted in the USA using fiberglass, resin, and natural stone, providing a realistic and long-lasting fountain.

In contrast to real basalt, which is heavy and difficult to install, these lightweight faux columns enable quick and straightforward assembly. Each column has a sturdy base that can be anchored with decorative gravel. The included tubing and plumbing fittings can be conveniently installed in the recessed area at the top of the fountain. To enhance the visual appeal, consider adding a color-changing or warm white Fountain Light to illuminate the water display (sold separately). This five-column set is ideal for large custom fountain reservoirs.

These columns are handmade using fiberglass sheets, resin, and stone aggregate.

What if the surface is damaged or chipped?

Damaged areas can be easily repaired with common products such as:

  • Black shoe polish
  • Permanent marker
  • Outdoor paint (Chocolate brown and Lamp black)

What plumbing options are available?

Each column includes 3/4″ flexible tubing and a small clear fitting. This fitting can be replaced with one of the Aquascape Fountain Lights to illuminate the water outlet. For higher flow rates, the column can accommodate 1″ Schedule 40 PVC pipe.

Can I secure the base in public or windy locations?

The columns are designed to endure typical conditions, and gravel is generally sufficient for stability. However, for added security, you can drill through the fiberglass base and attach it to the desired surface with hardware or zip ties.

Can the base be modified for custom uses?

YES! The base can be trimmed to fit into tighter spaces using a grinder or Sawzall. Proper eye and respiratory protection should be worn while cutting fiberglass. Note: If parts of the base are removed, ensure the columns are properly supported and secured during installation.
