It can also be used in winter to keep a portion of the pond surface open, protecting fish during colder months. The energy-efficient, outdoor-rated 15-watt compressor is housed in a sturdy metal casing that can endure tough weather conditions, and its rubber feet minimize noise and vibration. The specially designed, maintenance-free 10″ aeration diffuser features a self-cleaning rubber membrane that expands to prevent clogging from dirt and debris. Its weighted ballast ensures it stays at the bottom of the pond without requiring additional weights. A pre-installed barbed fitting allows for easy connection to the included 3/8″ braided tubing, which also comes with a pre-installed check valve. The 30′ of freeze-resistant braided aeration tubing is durable and suitable for year-round use. Stainless steel hose clamps are included to secure the tubing to the outlet and diffuser.
